Flinders Flames Womens Soccer Club

This award is for outstanding commitment or achievement within the club. For people who have made the Flames who we are today. It is the most prestigious award the club has.

2007 - Leanne Rootsey

Leanne has been a Flame since 1997 and was president of the Club for 3 of those years. Leanne formalised the club and ensured its financial and physical strength that is taking us into the future! It is only fitting that Leanne is the Inaugural Eternal Flame!

2008 - Elizabeth Bogue

Lizzie has been a Flame since 2005. Liz is often thought of as the face of the Flames and takes her role as Secretary and Social Chair very seriously.Every great Flames event has Liz at the heart of it!

2009 - Christine Stewart

Christine joined the Flames in 2007 and quickly followed in the footsteps of her younger sister Leanne Rootsey, and taking the role of Treasurer. Although a new player to football, she has been a supporter her whole life and is real asset to the club.

2010 - Tamara Rootsey

Tamara has always stepped up since becomeing a Flame in 2006 when she was dragged from the sideline to go in goals. Tarama joined the committee during her second year at the club and was president in 2008 and 2009. Now as vise president she has taken on the new role of Coaches Coordinater supporting the clubs most important asset, our coaches.
