In November 2018, Flinders Flames had 15 amazingly talented players entered the Pan Pacific Masters competition for the second time, with the strong aim in improving on their last efforts in 2016.
This competition was played over the course of a week, and our girls dominated from day 1, securing an 8-0 victory over their opposition. As the week progressed it the competition became harder; with our girls taking on a draw and a loss to the opposition. Our Ladies had a tough battle ahead to make the gold and silver play off by playing against the local side who had gone undefeated all tournament.
Our Ladies bravely fought hard and gave everything they had to ensure they secured the win, with the final score being 2-1 seeing them through to the Gold and Silver final. Flames ended up playing the same team they played to get through to the finals and after a very close match our Ladies secured second place medals only going down 1-0 in the final.
Flames significantly improved their competition standing from 2016 and will look forward to carrying that same fire into the 2019 Australian Masters Tournament in Adelaide on home turf.
Congratulations on a stellar effort Ladies #Vintage #Betterwithage #Flameon
